Buying a battery at a steep discount seemed like taking a chance, particularly given the bad reviews for some of these (poor fit or poor ability to hold a charge). I figured it was worth the gamble for $5, and was not dissapointed. This appears to be the real thing, an OEM battery identical to what it replaced, and it holds a charge for at least several days (depends on use, of course). Your mileage may vary, but I am very satisfied.
