I have to say that I like the Droid a lot, but the “multimedia” station is a tragic attempt at what was supposed to be a good idea. Awful quality reminds you of the days when Moto thought that good design and lousy product quality would carry the day. Do not spend your hard earned dollars on a product that makes your phone crash every time you dock it in. Later on, when you realize that you can return it but the shipping fee is not coming back it will be simply be a sad day. Trash, garbage, crap and other choice words come to mind when thinking of this product.

I was also going to buy this docking station until I went on the Android App market and found a FREE application that will put the phone in dock mode with a quick touch. This product sounds cooler than it really is. It should be called “Overpriced Charger Station”.

I was pretty bummed when i received my docking station, The phone does not fit if you have any type of shell/cover for your phone. You’d have to take it on and off every time u wanted to use this.
LAME.

I was so looking forward to getting this, but then I realized only the phone fits the cradle. I would have to remove my phone’s hard case each time I want to dock to this.
Hopefully there will be a fix or other alternatives out soon.

Essentially this is a $40 weighted plastic base with a USB extension cord and a magnet in it so the Droid will go into dock-mode. Being that it doesn’t have any sort of other media connections other than USB, I’d hardly call it multimedia – In fact I consider it fase advertising. I’d happily pay $15-25 for this, but after spending $40, I’m completely disappointed.
My original iphone came with a comparable dock in the box – not at an extra cost – and a replacement was only $25. If you spent $40 you could get a dock with audio-out and a wireless remote control – that’s right, just dock your phone to play audio out your stereo, no extra step to plug in a cable. Not that I’m complaining about plugging in a cable, but would expect more than a cheap hunk of plastic for $40.
This “Multimedia” dock is not worth the cost.
Love my Droid, this Dock was a waste of money.
