  2. I actually have the same complaint as the previous reviewer. I got this phone today, and as far as I can figure out, it doesn’t support different themes, so you’re stuck with the T-Mobile hot pink. You can customize the main screen, so that it isn’t pink, but once you go into a menu, there it is. Kind of annoying. I’d like to keep this phone otherwise. It looks good, has a good size and feel to it.

  4. I have had this phone for about 6 months now. I looked at dozens of phones before deciding on this one. I love that I can set up and edit my phonebook online. I now have more than just phone numbers. I have addresses, too. Makes my life so much simpler. I have added pictures of my friends and family so that when they call their picture pops up and not just their name. I love the camera and video feature. All in all, I think this phone is a great value for the money. It is very stylish and easy to use at the same time.

  6. I bought this phone at a whim. Don’t really care about the latest and greatest options. I used this phone heavily for phone calls via bluetooth. Without bluetooth, keep searching. The headset volume is sad, the speakerphone volume is sad. However, in my line of work, I need hands free 18/6, so I used a bluetooth headset 95% of the time. There were maybe 3 days where I would actually have to charge the battery in the same day(solid 4+ hours of use). Getting a genuine samsung charger for your automobile is highly recomended because the ones I’ve tried, don’t fit right. I ended up returning and trying another type out because the phone charger input would have to lay perfectly still, undisturbed to charge, not to mention, the phone had to be off. . . The camera works decent for average photos, the video. . . err yeah. . it’s a cell phone. . . The pink menu screens, I never figured out how to get rid of, that’s why I’m trying, shhh. . a motorola :D If my new relationship doesn’t work out, I’ll switch back. Samsung never locked on me, did any random gooffy calling(must be a motorola thing). Little things I liked, quick and easy access to micro SD card for quick picture transfers. Keygaurd lock when slid down, though, with bluetooth calls being ended, the phone kinda thinks it’s still open. I would pull out my phone after doing an install and find that I’ve been browsing the web. . . bad phone bad. . . A love hate relationship I guess. I liked the fact that this was a BASIC phone, with limited somewhat advance tools. MP3 player, recomended if you listen to less than 30 songs, library access stinks. Sturdy construction(can’t tell you how many times I’ve fallen on it in pocket, I’m 6′ 240. . so yeah. . . sturdy little phone. Tip #1 if you buy this phone, charge it every night, Tip#2 get yourself a samsung charger for the car. Tip #3 Don’t get lazy like me and tap the bluetooth to end calls if you don’t have a data plan.

  10. Serious Issues – Suggestion choose another manufacture. The last two Samsung phones I purchased have been buggy. Bluetooth seems to be a big problem for Samsung – especially if you have a newer car with bluetooth. Both Samsung and T-Mobile will put you through hell before they will replace them. t629 when on a call using bluetooth will drop the call you are on and you cannot “accept” the 2nd call. t-819 is also buggy in bluetooth mode. The volume increases and decreases during conversation making a call frustratingly difficult. Additionally, the t-819 40-50% of the time will show connected but caller is unable to hear the other party. Bought a Sony Erricson and it is perfect in every way. For the record Lexus duplicated the problem with Samsung and determined it IS the Samsung phone. Their test phones (not Samsung) worked perfectly with the vehicle bluetooth. Come on folks it is 2008 bluetooth technology has been around for more than a decade.
